Learn how to finish your own needlepoint ornament with Amanda Metes, The Finishing Fairy! We’ll be using a no-glue lacing technique and only acid-free materials, ensuring your needlepoint can be enjoyed for years to come. 

You’ll leave the workshop with a beautifully finished ornament and the confidence and materials needed to try it again on your own — plus access to online videos and resources to help you continue your learning journey. 

We recommend having experience finishing rounds and rectangles before this class. 

Participants should bring:

• A completed round, rectangle, or square ornament sized canvas, blocked 

• A photocopy of your canvas

We bring material for cording and backing fabric. 

Optionally, if you have strong preferences on color matching: 

• Desired backing fabric, measured 1 inch wider on all sides (6x6 for a 4x4 canvas). A not-stretchy material is recommended — thin materials like quilter’s cotton, velveteen, or silk work great.

• Two skeins of DMC Floss or DMC Pearle (only if you have a color preference; we have a wide variety of colors. 

• If you don’t want to finish your own canvas, you can bring a blank 18 mesh canvas.
